Hello Adults Learners and Legal Guardians, Thank you to all the students and families that attended our Commun-I-Tea family event this past Wednesday. We look forward to seeing you again at our next event in the spring. If you recently registered at DC, please ensure you connect with your Guidance and Students Services team, as well as your Assistant Principal, to learn about all the learning opportunities we have at each of the sites. Did you know that the following opportunities are available at most of our sites: fashion studies, art, in person Phys Ed, foods, robotics, Youth Council, In the Lead, 3D printing, and many more! A couple of important items to share below as we wrap up semester 1 at Discovering Choices: Semester 1 End Students are asked to submit any outstanding assignments to their teachers next week, to ensure they are assessed in time for report card information to be updated. Courses that are incomplete / in progress will roll over to 2nd semester. Please refer to our webpage with resources and videos to support understanding assessment & reporting in the CBE. Report Cards Grades 10 to 12 report cards will be available starting Feb. 2, 2026. After May 29, 2026 all Semester 1 reports cards will no longer be available for viewing, downloading and/or printing. Parents/Guardians and Independent (Adult) Students can sign in to MyCBE to view student information, including report cards, comments from teachers, assignments and grades, and attendance information. For the best access to information, log in through the MyCBE portal instead of using the PowerSchool App. Need Help? Check out these videos for more information on how to log in and navigate the portal when you have more than one child attending CBE schools. Video Tutorials Having technical issues with MyCBE? Visit Technical Support for Students & Parents. IPPs Parents / legal guardians / independent students, that have been with us since the fall, will be invited to sign updated IPPs Jan 27 onwards.
